The Pickens Family

There seems to be one consistent theme with our shoots lately-FRIGID COLD. This evening was no exception and this family not only came to play they were troopers. I mean who takes off their socks and shoes in 40 degree weather that feels like 15 degrees. This family, thats who. So I may have had a little leg up on what we were going for on this shoot since this just happens to be my boss and her family and we were sending pictures back and forth the last few days. And I think its safe to say that we got the shots. How adorable are these kiddos?

Its The B Family Again!

Little Miss Sophie just turned one and it was time to get a new family picture. It was barely 34 outside but it was sunny and the wind was still so we had that going for us. My the end our fingers were frozen and Sophie's nose was as bright as Rudolph's. What troopers. Its pretty special that I not only get to watch Miss Sophie grow up but I also get to document some of it. And just like most toddlers, it isn't always the easiest to capture someone that is constantly wanting to explore and always on the move but we did our best. Thanks for being such a sweetie, as always, Miss Sophie!

Miss Sophie Turns One

What a special day for a very special little girl. Miss Sophie turned one yesterday and celebrated in pink and green style with her family and friends. At first she was a little timid to dig into her cake but as soon as everyone turned their attention away from her, she dug right in. After she had enough of the cake she started sharing with her grandpas and anyone else that would let her. My favorite part, her parents asked for toy donations for Toys for Tots instead of birthday gifts. She may not understand it now but she just made Christmas for a number of kiddos. Happy First Birthday Sweetie. It has been a joy watching you grow over the last year and I can't wait for you and the boys to become even better buds. Love you.

A Brave Family

OBP has been on vacation for the past two weeks-that thing called my real-job-the-one-that-helps-pay-the-bills had me super busy and lucky for me this family was willing to wait until today for their shoot. A colleague had her family in from out of town (Nebraska and Western Kansas) and they were ready to put me to the test. It was cold. Check that, it was freezing and we had four kids under 4. Like I said, this family was brave and deserve a huge kuddos for sticking it out! Here is a sneak peek-the rest will be up a little later.

The Ross Family

What troopers! It was chilly. It was windy. And it was dinner time. This family met me out tonight at the park for some quick pics and I didn't hear a single whine from a single kiddo. You might think we had to bribe the kids to look so lovey dovey in these pictures but in all reality we didn't, they actually really like each other! Thanks for a fun evening guys. Hope you like your sneak peek!

D & His Angry Bird

This young man is turning six years old in just a few weeks and what sort of a birthday party does a six year old want? An Angry Bird Birthday Party. And what better way to document his sixth birthday than with a few pictures with his favorite bird. I had a blast from the beginning with this shoot and D, well he has an endless supply of facial expressions and had me smiling from ear to ear. We got so many great shots that it was hard to pick just a few for a sneak so I broke the rules and added a few extras. Hope you like them Mom and Dad.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother to two of the cutest boys on Earth, Kaden OLIVER and Logan BECKETT. Over the last year I have developed a passion for photography and I haven't been able to put my camera down. What started as just trying to capture my boys turned into so much more and has been one of the most fulfilling and rewarding additions to my life. A few fun facts about me-I have had a HUGE crush on Mark McGrath for what seems like forever. I love a good yellow cake with milk chocolate icing. I am TOTALLY addicted to PINTEREST. And I can't start my day without a Sonic Iced Tea, seriously, I should buy stock in them.
